Library/Archives
Behind-the-scenes at The Haggin Museum is an extensive archive that houses thousands of books, historic photographs, maps, and other items relating to Stockton and California history.
Use of the
Library/Archives is by advance appointment only and research requests
are accommodated as staff time permits. A $15 research fee is charged to help cover the cost
of maintaining these holdings, plus additional fees for any photographic reproductions and/or machine copies. A $25 fee is charged for requests relating to Stephens Bros. Boatbuilders.
The usage fees are waived for museum members.

Earl Rowland Art Library
The special focus of this holding is books and
periodicals relating to the museum’s art collection, particularly
French and American art in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Other areas covered include ancient art, decorative
arts, Japanese woodblock prints, and California art.
