Classical guitarist and Stockton native Ben Barron joins us for a luscious evening of Spanish and Brazilian music, the heart and soul of the classical guitar repertoire.

A former student of Ray de la Torre, and graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Barron has just released a new CD titled Spirit of the Guitar.

This evening performance is included with regular museum admission, as part of the museum's 1st & 3rd Thursdays series, featuring complimentary wine and snacks beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Kathleen DunphyPlein-Air Painter Kathleen Dunphy

Artist Kathleen Dunphy, whose work is currently on display in The Allure of Water, will give an evening presentation on January 19, 2012.

In 2003, she and her husband designed and built a log home and studio in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California, where the pristine setting of her new home provides endless inspiration for her work. She began teaching in 2005 and is now working on a book about her process of developing a work of art from field study to finished studio paintings.

This evening presentation is included with regular museum admission, as part of the museum's 1st & 3rd Thursdays series, featuring complimentary wine and snacks beginning at 6:30 p.m.
