Kimball’s third season as festival director promises a full spectrum of musical expression from Holst, Dvorak, Strauss, local composer Max Simoncic and perennial favorite Aaron Copland. This preview afternoon offers a relaxing and informative talk with many musical examples that will help open up your ears to the wonders of classical music. Kimball will also talk about conducting and share insights on the rehearsal process. The festival is scheduled for January 25 – February 1. For more information visit www.stjohnsstockton.org. Seating for this afternoon performance will open at 2:00 p.m.. Admission to the museum for this event is $5 for adults 18 and up; $2.50 for youth ages 10-17, students with a valid I.D., and seniors 65 and older.
