Symphonic masterworks exhibit striking melodies and harmonies, a beauty of form and design, and a mastery of orchestral texture and color.
At the center of it all is the composer speaking to us from the heart, as the music takes us on an invigorating and epic emotional journey.
Join Stockton Symphony Music Director Peter Jaffe as he highlights musical gems from Brahms, Copland, Dvorák, Gershwin, Ravel, Tchaikovsky and more.
While giving insights and previews of the Stockton Symphony’s 85th anniversary season, Maestro Jaffe will incorporate musical examples into the hour’s talk, playing scores at the piano. Post-talk questions are a welcome and engaging portion of this Haggin tradition.
Admission to the museum for this event is $5 for adults 18 and up; $2.50 for youth ages 10-17, students with a valid I.D., and seniors 65 and older. Museum members and children under 10 accompanied by an adult are free. For disabled access, please call the museum ahead of time at (209) 940-6300 or 940-6317.
Limited seating will be available starting at 2 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information contact Lisa Cooperman at (209) 940-6315 or education@hagginmuseum.org. |
