July 11–15 and July 18–22 at University of the Pacific

Free Admission

The Haggin Museum is teaming up with University of the Pacific and other community groups for a free two-week workshop celebrating the cultural diversity of Stockton and the surrounding Delta region, culminating with a parade and performance on July 23—the incorporation of Stockton as a city.

Ages 6-10 will meet at University of the Pacific from 1:00-2:30 p.m., ages 11-15 from 3:00-4:30 p.m., and ages 16 and older from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Conceived by University of the Pacific Theatre Arts Chair Cathie McClellan and Visual Arts Chair Brett DeBoer, DeltaFusion is funded in part by a $10,000 National Endowment for the Arts grant.

Prior to the museum’s participation, three weeks of workshops will be held where high school teachers and Pacific students will develop the performance and build giant puppets. (There is a fee to register for this portion, but some scholarships may be available.)

All five weeks of workshops will be held in studios at the Departments of Theater Arts or Visual Arts on the campus of University of the Pacific and also at The Haggin Museum, as a part of the Summer Art Workshop. Registration for all participants is through Pacific’s Center for Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE).
