Step back and evaluate the full impact of Walt Disney in this museum in San Francisco’s Presidio that opened in October 2009. This is a warts-and-all portrayal of the man and his life’s work and accomplishments.
At the Asian Museum explore the unique flavor and identity of Shanghai, China’s most cosmopolitan city. A case study in cultural globalization, you’ll investigate the internal and external influences which helped create this city’s distinctive character. On view will be 190 artworks, including trade oil paintings, Shanghai deco furniture and rugs, revolutionary poster art, fashion, movie clips, and contemporary art and video installations.
