One of the benefits of museum membership is the opportunity to participate in a number of members-only events and trips planned by the museum's auxiliaries. Department Of Museum Travel Trips

Museum members receive the first opportunity to reserve up to two spaces per membership for these popular trips at a discounted rate. If any spaces are available four weeks prior to the tour, non-members may sign up for the remaining seats.

Mission Trail Mural Walk:
San Francisco Day Trip

Monday, July 16, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

$55 members; $65 nonmembers

Join The Haggin Museum will take a bus trip to San Francisco to Precita Eyes Mural Arts and Visitors Center. After a slide tour, your tour guide will take you on a leisurely stroll through the Mission District. Travelers will view the wonderful, larger than life, murals painted on the walls of the local businesses, churches, a child's playground with mosaic forms, and through famous Balmy Alley. This is a walk back to the '60s in a Bohemian atmosphere.

At noon you will enjoy lunch at the Beach Chalet in Golden Gate Park or the Cliff House (cost not included in trip) and then continue on to San Francisco City College to view Diego Rivera's magnificent Pan American Unity Mural - a docent-led tour.

The cost for this trip is $55 for members of The Haggin Museum and $65 for non-members.

Southern California Trip

Tuesday, Sept. 4-Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007
Escorted by Beverly McCarthy
Price: $795 members; $845 non-members

This bus tour to Southern California will go to Santa Barbara to visit Casa Del Herrero Estates in Montecito and Lotuslands; Frank Lloyd Wright's Hollyhock in Hollywood and the Getty Villa in Malibu; the Kodak Building; the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, and President Reagan's Library and Air Force One in Simi Valley. There will be an optional trip to attend a Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra concert at the Hollywood Bowl.

The cost for this trip is $795 for members and $845 for non-members per person (double occupancy) and includes transportation on a Storer's Bus, lodging for four nights, all admissions, all docent-led tours and tea at The Huntington Library. The single supplement is $300. No refunds will be given after August 4, 2007.

Your check is your reservation. Bus seating is based upon date of receipt of check. Additional people included on a check will, if so desired, be seated with the writer of the check. The schedule's stated times are departure times, and guests should try to be at pickup sites 15 minutes prior to departures. On multi-day trips, seating is rotated. For day trips, parking is available on Pershing Avenue in front of The Haggin Museum. There are no meters, so you can park there all day without being ticketed. A tip for the bus driver is included in the price of the trip.

If you must cancel or interrupt your trip after the cancellation date, The Haggin Museum offers no refunds.

The Department of Museum Travel acts solely as an agent in arranging accommodations, transportation, meals and other services, and, therefore, does not assume any liability for injury, accident, loss or delay due to an act or default of any other company or person who provides such services. The DMT reserves the right to make any modifications as deemed necessary before or during trips.
