Opening Reception

Summer Art Workshop:
Take it Outside - Plein-Air Painting for Teenage Artists

Tuesday, July 6-Friday, July 9

Fee for this session: $40 museum members; $50 nonmembers

What is so great about making art outside? Guest artist Marika Wolfe joins us to teach teenage artists the fundamentals of plein-air painting using a variety of media (all supplies and materials are included).

Ms. Wolfe is a former instructor at the University of the Pacific and her work is widely shown in the area.

Registration for the workshop will be by mail with the session filled on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to 25 students. Gallery Talk

Jean Stern, founding executive director of The Irvine Museum, will give a special presentation titled Selections from the Irvine Museum - California Impressionism at The Haggin Museum on Thursday, July 1, at 7:00 p.m.

This evening event is included with regular museum admission, as part of the museum's 1st & 3rd Thursdays series, featuring complimentary food and drink beginning at 6:30 p.m.
