Opening Celebration
Thursday, July 2, 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Come celebrate the opening of the Matisse exhibition on the 1st Thursday evening in July. This special evening event will include hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. Matisse & Friends Family Festival
Saturday, July 11, 1:30-4:00 p.m.

Matisse was friends with many other artists, writers and composers who started what we call "modern" art. He and his friends invite families to experience beautiful, fun and colorful art from the early 20th century. There will be hands-on learning and art-making throughout the museum.

Gallery Talk

Thursday, July 16, 7:00 p.m.

The museum's Gallery Talk series on 3rd Thursday evenings continues on July 16. Join University of the Pacific Professor Bett Schumacher, Ph.D, for a special presentation about Matisse in the Lower West Gallery. Food and light refreshments will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m.
