Opening Reception

The Stockton Art League invites the public to attend the opening reception of their 56th Juried Exhibition, where they can join the artists for a first look at the works on display and the presentation of awards.

Art Adventures: Chinese Brush Painting

1:30-3:00 p.m.

Learn about the history and symbolism of Chinese brush painting. Clemmie King from the Stockton Art League will demonstrate and kids will learn how to hold the brush and use ink. They’ll make cards and bookmarks to take home.

• Samuel Bassett, sculptor, Lodi
• Tina Moore, pastelist, Stockton

Gallery Talk by Juror Margot Schulzke

Artist and author Margot Schulzke is pleased to be back as this year’s juror for the biennial Stockton Art League Exhibition. The national scope of this year’s show has resulted in an exciting variety of work.

Ms. Schulzke will share her observations on the work, based on her many years of teaching and practice as an artist and author.
